For the first time in Olympic history, the pre-race favorites did not disappoint. Great Britain’s Alistair Brownlee took gold. Spain’s Javier Gomez earned silver, with Great Britain’s Jonathan Brownlee crossing in third for bronze. Read the complete race recap.
