In a press conference that took place this morning in Tempe, Ariz., officials said that they believe Tempe Town Lake will be repaired and refilled in time for November’s Ironman Arizona event.

There was concern about whether or not the lake would be available for Ironman Arizona after the dam broke yesterday evening and nearly emptied the lake.  The lake will not be re-opened for the scheduled dates of Nathan Triathlon and Soma Triathlon.

See footage from the news conference below. The statement regarding Ironman Arizona comes at about 2:20 into the clip.
