The Isklar Norseman Xtreme Triathlon been called the sport’s most extreme one-day event, and this video showcases exactly why. Watch as athletes swim 3.8km, cycle 180km, and run 42.2km and ascend more than 5235m in Norway’s spectacular landscape. A total of 281 athletes made the start, with 31 of them competing for the first-ever XTRI World Championship (as qualifiers in the XTRI World Tour).

The overall titles went to Hans Christian Tungesvik of Norway and Lucy Gossage of Great Britain. See the complete results here.
