This is the second and final round of Kona qualifying for the pros. WTC also offered 41 men and 27 women the opportunity to register for Kona at the end of July. The athletes have until Sept. 7 to accept or decline their Kona spots. A few notable names are still on the outside looking in. Matt Reed, Paul Ambrose, Jacqui Gordon, Meredith Kessler, Hillary Biscay, Desiree Ficker, Fernanda Keller and Belinda Granger do not have enough points to be offered spots at this point. Matt Reed and Jacqui Gordon are the next athletes in line to receive offers if any of the above athletes choose not to race in Kona.
