Jan Frodeno’s rookie appearance in Kona last year was one of the best in history—even despite a flat tire and penalty, he still pulled off an impressive third place. This year, he’s posted multiple noteworthy results that include a win at the Ironman European Championship on a scorching day in Frankfurt and the world title at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship (both against fierce competitor Sebastian Kienle).
