2015 Ironman World Championship – Women’s Race

Daniela Ryf used a 56:14 swim, a 4:50:46 bike and a 3:06:37 marathon to take the win in 8:57:57.

At only her second time racing in Kona, Switzerland’s Daniela Ryf crushed the Kona course with over a 13-minute lead on the entire field, winning in 8:57. Although the race took many surprising turns—including the 2014 Ironman World Champion Mirinda Carfare dropping out of the race—it was no surprise to see two of former podium contenders, Rachel Joyce and Liz Blatchford, take the second and third spots.
