Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema Finishes Ironman Arizona

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) on Sunday became the first sitting member of Congress to complete an Ironman triathlon.

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) on Sunday became the first sitting member of Congress to complete an Ironman triathlon. She tweeted a photo of herself crossing the finish line, completing the race in 15:12:33.

Sinema, a freshman member, had trained for the race for a year.

At one point during the bike portion, Sinema fell off her bike because of a four-foot tumbleweed in the road, she tweeted Monday.
