American Ben Hoffman got a taste of the Kona podium, finishing in the runner-up spot in the 2014 Ironman World Championship. He struggled with GI issues in the final miles in 2015, ultimately finishing 27th. After earning automatic qualification at the Ironman African Championship in April in impressive fashion, Hoffman is again ready to race in Kona and his goal is the world title. We visited Hoffman at his home in Tucson, Ariz. to get his thoughts on the upcoming world championship.
