Americans Andy Potts and Sarah Piampiano earned the victories at the 2019 edition of Ironman Brazil in Florianopolis. Potts put together a 45:53 swim, a 4:19:13 bike, and a 2:53:40 marathon to edge out Great Britain’s Will Clarke by four minutes to take the victory in 8:02:57. Piampiano was dominant in her win, posting a 58:12 swim, a 4:43:48 bike, and a 2:53:18 marathon to cross the finish line at 8:40:48.
