Final Results From The Deca-Ironman

The event is over and we have a new champion in Ferenc Szonyi from Hungary. He complete all 10 Ironmans in a combined time of 114 hours 59 minutes and 20 seconds. Szonyi’s time breaks the race record by almost 11 hours. Finishing second was Pascal Joly with a combined time of 119 hours, 17 minutes and 18 seconds.  Beñat Zubilaga rounded out the top three in a combined time of 133 hours, 1 minute and 32 seconds. Eleven athletes out of the 17 who started finished this long event.

Marcel Heinig from Germany also completed his goal of 50 Olympic triathlons in 10 days. Sylvia Andonie did 10 half Ironmans in 10 days and Gisele Andonie did her 10 Olympic triathlon in 10 days. Arthur Puckrin from England did four Ironmans in eight days.
