Both the United States’ Tim DeBoom and Australia’s Belinda Granger will turn 40 this year, but that didn’t seem to slow them down at today’s Ironman 70.3 Hawaii. The two turned in strong performances on both the bike and run to win the race in Kona, Hawaii.
DeBoom took the win by out-running Australia’s Luke Bell and the United States’ Matt Lieto. He turned in a 1:19:47 half marathon to take the win in 4:04:02. Granger took the lead from Kona-local Bree Wee on the bike and never looked back, winning in 4:34:38.
