Luxembourg’s Dirk Bockel won Sunday’s Ironman Regensburg by leading off of the bike and holding the top spot all the way to the finish line. Germany’s Michael Raelert finished second in his highly-anticipated Ironman debut. Both athletes needed the finish to meet the Ironman World Championship qualification criteria.
