The 5150 Clearwater Triathlon, which had been slated to be the 5150 series finale, has been canceled for 2011.

The WTC posted the following statement on the race website:

The 5150 Clearwater Triathlon, scheduled for Nov. 12, 2011, has been postponed until 2012. Paid registrants will receive a full refund of their entry fee (including the Active.com fee) within six weeks.

Due to low registration numbers, we felt that it was in the best interest of the participants, the City of Clearwater and the 5150 Triathlon Series to postpone this event. We are committed to the 5150 Triathlon Series and look forward to delivering great race experiences in our 2012 season.

We appreciate your understanding. If you have any general inquiries with regards to the cancellation of this event, please contact Clearwater@5150.com.
