TYR Signs USA Olympian Triathlete Sarah Haskins

Working to promote and support the best athletes in the sport of triathlon, TYR is proud to announce a multi-year partnership with USA standout Sarah Haskins. An Olympian and reigning Toyota Series Champion, she is a proven performer who will bring experience and enthusiasm to TYR’s growing team of professional triathletes.

Spending the majority of her time training in the high altitude of Colorado Springs, CO, 28-year-old Haskin has steadily added a multitude of accolades to her resume. Placing in the top two at four of the 2009 Lifetime Fitness Triathlon Series to take the overall title, she now looks ahead to representing TYR in her flourishing career.

“Having been a professional athlete for five years now, I know how important it is to be working with a company who supports their athletes to race at their best,” Haskins shared. “TYR is a title sponsor of many major triathlons around the country, including the Lifetime Fitness: Race to the Toyota Cup Series. I have raced in this series for the past two years and look forward to personally representing TYR while racing in this series and defending my title for 2010.”

A current USAT National Team Member, Haskins has worn the red, white, and blue with pride. In 2008, she competed for USA at the Beijing Olympics, finishing 11th overall. In addition, she has secured a USAT Elite National Championship, as well as a silver medalist at the 2008 ITU World Championships.

Haskins has partnered with TYR to compete in the company’s full line of triathlon apparel, swimwear, accessories, and the debut wetsuit scheduled to hit the market February 25th, the Hurricane.
