TriStar111 Monaco Attracts Top Formula 1 Drivers

Formula 1 race car drivers Jenson Button, Bruno Senna, Lucas Di Grassi, and Alexander Wurz will be racing at this weekend's TriStar111 Monaco event.

Formula 1 race car drivers Jenson Button, Bruno Senna, Lucas Di Grassi, and Alexander Wurz will be racing at this weekend’s TriStar111 Monaco event. All of these athletes will be somewhat familiar with the course, given that the Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most popular races on the Formula 1 circuit.

TriStar111 Monaco over 1km of swimming, 100km of cycling and 10km of running becomes a popular pastime for Formula 1 drivers on their free weekend. Button, Senna, Di Grassi and Wurz will mingle with the 660 individual competitors and the 40 relay teams to spend a day of fun in the Principality of Monaco.

Formula 1 pilots will be racing TriStar111 Monaco on Sunday. They know every turn and bend in the streets of Monaco, and will profit from the unique opportunity to run along the original F1 circuit in the Principality while the roads are closed for traffic.

World Champion Jenson Button (Great Britain) will compete in the race as well as Bruno Senna (Ayrton Senna’s nephew) and Lucas di Grassi (both Brasil). Former Formula 1 pilot and winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Alexander Wurz (Austria) will also be at the starting line of the triathlon.

“The slowest bend in Formula One is the fastest bend in Triathlon”, says Georg Hochegger, CEO of Star Production SARL, the owner of the TriStar brand. “Within a year, TriStar has become a popular brand in the world of triathlon, and we’re excited about the broad interest in the race. It’s a proof that we’re going the right way with unique distances.”

TriStar111 Monaco on Sunday 5 September is a race over unique distances: 1km of swimming, 100km of cycling and 10km of running. The new format introduced by Star Production SARL only a year ago attracts many athletes from various backgrounds. In addition to the Formula 1 pilots, the race will welcome the following athletes: Maja Andersen (cyclist from Denmark), Nathalie Simon (television presenter), Paul Belmondo (actor and tv consultant), Geoffroy Lequatre and Yaroslav Popovych (pro cyclists in Lance Armstrong’s Radioshack team),Grégory Mallet (swimmer), Sergey Bubka (world record holder in pole vaulting), Marcel Zamora (5-times winner of Ironman France).
