Nytro And Betty Designs Launch Women’s Triathlon Team

Nytro, a global leader in multisport retail, and Betty Designs, an acclaimed custom race gear boutique, announce the formation of the Nytro Women’s Elite Triathlon Team.
Based in San Diego, the women’s amateur team consists of a group of female elite triathletes looking to inspire, motivate and kick butt in 2010. Nytro Women range in age from their 20s to their 50s and are committed to be strong ambassadors for the team sponsors and the triathlon lifestyle. In its debut year, the 2010 roster for the Nytro Women’s Team is: Vickie Alexander, Colleen Barnett, Sara Cates, Polly Crawford, Beth Gerdes, Terry Martin, Kristin Mayer, Lori Travis and Michele Wallace.
The team’s impressive line-up of sponsors includes; Nytro, Betty Designs, Zoot, Colnago, Pactimo, Oakley, Giro, LUNA, Mix1, AVIA , Moji, Easton and Xlab.
Alongside racing hard throughout the 2010 season, the Nytro Women will give back to the community by mentoring other females looking to race their first triathlon or set new goals in the sport. The Team will be managed by Betty Designs founder and accomplished amateur triathlete, Kristin Mayer. “After racing for 15 years, I wanted to join forces with a group of like-minded women who are as passionate about the triathlon lifestyle as I am. My goal is to lead a group of women who will inspire and motivate other women to toe their first starting line. Nytro Women was formed to share our knowledge of triathlon and inspire each other to accomplish our greatest goals and be the best athletes we can be.”
