Llanos And Morrison Use Run To Win TriGrandPrix Basque Country

TriGrandPrix’s second event took place today in the Basque Country, Spain today and Eneko Llanos and Catriona Morrison earned the wins.

In the women’s race, Leanda Cave led out of the swim and throughout the bike.  Morrison overcame a three-minute deficit on the run to take the victory. Mirinda Carfrae, who had raced less than a week ago at Rev3 Quassy, earned third.

In the men’s race, Eneko Llanos kept himself in contention and was under control throughout. Mathias Hecht lead for the majority of the swim and bike section, but faded in the latter stages of the race giving Llanos the opportunity to take the win on the run.
