Triathlete.com has learned from an inside source that the Ironman World Championship 70.3 race will be moving from Clearwater, Florida to Las Vegas, Nevada starting in 2011.
There have been consistent rumors about the race relocating away from Florida for months, but this is the first hint at where the new location will be.
The World Triathlon Corporation announced the introduction of a new Olympic-distance triathlon series yesterday, with the finale of that series taking the date and location of the former Clearwater race.
