Zone3 wetsuits, a brand that is primarily known in Great Britain, has announced that the product will now be available in the United States.
James Lock, a professional triathlete himself, founded the company in 2007 at the age of 21 and says that the goal of the company has always been to engineer the wetsuits based on what athletes want.
“Our aim is to make the best fitting wetsuit with the best user features for the sport” says Lock in a press release about the company’s move to the United States. “The process starts and ends by listening to triathletes who provide the qualitative input for our design team’s application of advanced sports technologies and on-going laboratory testing. Subsequent testing and feedback from ‘real’ athletes helps us to further refine our products.”
Three models of wetsuits and two types of trisuits are now available in the United States. Trivillage.com and Justwetsuits.com are two retailers that are now carrying the brand.
“To grow the brand in America, we intend to replicate the approach used in Europe where knowledgeable, passionate dealers are an integral part of our success,” says U.S. Marketing Manager Alasdair Pullan. “We want to support our dealers the best way possible and work as closely as possible to ensure we become their number one selling triathlon brand.”
