General Entry For Ironman Western Australia Opens Feb. 1

The 2010 Ironman Western Australia Triathlon, held in the scenic town of Busselton, Western Australia, will take place on Sunday, Dec. 5. Registration for the final Ironman of the year opens Monday, February 1.

The final event in the 2010 season and the first in Australia owned and operated by World Triathlon Corporation, Ironman Western Australia will feature a fresh, new feel for the Ironman brand in the country. Enhancements will include updates to the race course, as well as additions to the Carbo and Awards banquets, among others.

Ironman Western Australia will offer 40 qualifying slots to the 2011 Ford Ironman World Championship, held in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Registration for the 2010 Ironman Western Australia Triathlon will open on Monday, Feb. 1 at 12 p.m. AEDT on IronmanWesternAustralia.com (US ET: 8 p.m. – Sunday, Jan. 31) and is expected to reach capacity. The entry fee will be $650 AUD for individual entry. More information on team/relay entry will be made available in the coming weeks.
