San Diego – Competitor Group, Inc (CGI), the leading media and event resource in the active lifestyle industry, announced that the Refuel: “got chocolate milk?” Campaign has signed on to be the presenting sponsor of the 2012 Endurance LIVE Awards Gala.
The 20th annual red carpet event is the biggest night of the year in endurance sports, bringing the top athletes from the sports of running, cycling and triathlon for one night to celebrate the year’s most outstanding performances. In 2012, endurance LIVE, presented by Refuel: “got chocolate milk?” will be held at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles, on Saturday, March 10.
“In conjunction with the 20th anniversary and the monumental growth of endurance sports, moving endurance LIVE to Los Angeles will further shine the light on some of the greatest stars in sports ,” said Scott Dickey, President of CGI. “We are delighted to have the Refuel: “got chocolate milk?” Campaign on board as we celebrate every facet of endurance sports from running to cycling and triathlon highlighting the global growth of the industry and bestowing the industry’s top honors.”

Each year, Competitor Group honors the world’s greatest endurance athletes, including Olympic gold medalists, Ironman World Champions and Tour de France podium finishers. The event was rebranded as endurance LIVE in 2011, the Endurance Sports industry’s “See and Be Seen” Event of the year, featuring an evening awards gala presenting the industry’s highest honors with the Competitor Runner of the Year, the Triathlete of the Year and the VeloNews Cyclist of the Year.
