Professionals, elites, and age-groupers will flock to Austin on Memorial Day for the Capital of Texas Triathlon.

The Capital of Texas Triathlon–the second stop on the Race to the Toyota Cup–will host a field comprised of the nation’s top professional triathletes at the Memorial Day race in Austin.

All told, more than 3,000 triathletes are expected to compete in the race, staged in downtown Austin at Auditorium Shores. This year’s participants also include 17 disabled service members.

The Race to the Toyota Cup is a seven-race, national series for professional triathletes competing for a series prize purse of over $600,000, with the Austin race committing to a minimum of $50,000 in prize money for the professional triathletes. Current series leaders Sarah Haskins and Cameron Dye are both registered to compete in Austin, along with a roster of 30-plus other pros.
