Blue Bicycles announced today that it is looking to donate over 100 bicycles to veterans of Team RWB through a unique program that will run through the month of June.
From June 1 to June 30, triathletes will be given the option to take $1,000 off any Triad or AC1SL bicycle and $650 off any Triad or AC1EX bicycle if they trade in their current bike (with some limitations).
“Our goal is simple. In addition to getting people on a new Blue Bicycle, we want to encourage our customers to donate their current bikes to a worthy cause, Team RWB, and give back to members who have served our nation” said Steven Harad, CEO of Blue Bicycles in a press release about the program. “For years I’ve been working with veterans to get them involved in cycling and this program will help provide bicycles to those who need them.”
The press release goes on to say that they will accept any bike purchased from 2005 to 2014 that has an original MSRP of $1,000 or more. Bring the bike into any participating Blue Bicycle dealer, and the bike will be tuned, cleaned and shipped at no-charge to Team RWB for use by a military veteran.
