Amica 19.7 Phoenix Race Set For Sunday

A mix of professionals, amateurs and first-time competitors are among the hundreds of triathletes slated to compete at the Amica 19.7 Phoenix this Sunday at Lake Pleasant Park, Peoria, Ariz.
The Amica 19.7 Phoenix sprint distance is one of two triathlons that will be held at Lake Pleasant Park on Sunday. An international distance triathlon also was recently added to the event. The new distance will feature a 1.5K swim, a 34K bike ride and a 10K run.
The sprint race is the highlight of the weekend and includes three divisions: pros, qualifiers and age groupers, with pros will be competing for a $20,000 prize.
