Omar Nour recently finished second at the TriYAS by Activelife triathlon and is on a mission to curb childhood obesity.

Egypt’s Omar Nour was 29 years old and weighed 230 pounds when he jumped into his first-ever triathlon, the Events DC Nation’s Triathlon back in 2007. He fell in love with the sport and decided to try to make the Egyptian Olympic triathlon team at the ripe old age of 33. Omar now trains in the United Arab Emirates and his journey from fat to fit is just the beginning of the story.
