Leiferman finished the 2021 Ironman World Championship in St. George, Utah in 4th place with a 7:57:51 on a tough day—earning him top American honors in the men’s field. He talked to us about picking people off as it got hot on the run, the new venue in the first ever world championship outside of Hawaii, and what that breakthrough finish meant to him.
