The focus: To build strength on hills and practice smooth, efficient transitions in and out of the saddle.
6×10-minute climbs as:
1. Steady for 6 min, hard for 4
3. Steady for 4 min, hard for 6
5. Steady for 2 min, hard for 8
Keep your cadence around 60–70 RPM and periodically practice coming in and out of the saddle while maintaining a smooth pedal stroke and RPMs.
