Defending Ironman world champion Mirinda Carfrae will race in Kona next Saturday in attempt to bring home her fourth title. Carfrae has established a few traditions in her years of racing on the Big Island (2009 was her first), including her go-to final long run—totaling about 1:00-1:15—one week out from race day. We followed her and coach Siri Lindley onto the Queen K and into the infamous Energy Lab, where many pivotal race moments and meltdowns have transpired. Check back for a video of Rinny’s workout.
