June 1 is National Running Day. We asked the following question on Twitter and Facebook:
Why do you run?
Here are some of the responses:
Because it’s cheaper than therapy and I’ve got too much energy to burn!
To explore new places, both physical, geographical and mental
To catch the train on the way to the pub
Because I can!
Let me count the reasons … it’s fun, a good stress reliever, cheaper than therapy, quiet time, great for overall fitness, competition, etc.
I get my best thinking done on a run, it is nice to be alone and reflect on everything in your life. Plus it’s a great workout!
Why do I run you ask? Because I never learned how to walk
What other reasons?
