Playtri.com/stcroixcamp
$799 by Jan. 31 ($899 after); Companion camp — $349 by Jan. 31 ($399 after), which does not include transportation or lodging

This February, you can train in paradise on the brutally difficult yet stunning Ironman 70.3 St. Croix course in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This 4.5-day camp includes training swim, rides and runs plus training, racing and nutrition seminars. The camp is open to athletes of all abilities who can swim a minimum of 500 meters, ride at least 10 miles and run at least 3 miles.

For those looking to vacation more and train less, Playtri also offers a “companion camp,” which features a daily open-water swim, a few runs and fewer clinics. Both versions of the camp will also feature a tour of the famous Buck Island and a snorkel tour at Cane Bay. The camp will be led by Playtri’s founder and coach, Ahmed Zaher, an eight-time Ironman World Championship qualifier.

During the camp, athletes will train on the same course used for Ironman 70.3 St. Croix, one of the oldest courses on the 70.3 circuit after having celebrated its 25th year in 2013. The course has been nicknamed “Beauty and the Beast” for its picturesque setting yet notorious climb on the bike course.
