The newly-married Zafares had a stellar start to the season with a runner-up finish at WTS Abu Dhabi.

U.S. elite triathletes Katie Hursey and Tommy Zaferes topped the field at Sunday's PATCO Sprint Triathlon Pan American Cup.

Hursey has won three of five ITU World Cups she’s started in and is set to compete in the WTS opener in Auckland, New Zealand on Sunday.
