In a day of heat, wind and carnage, Frederick Van Lierde of Belgium won the men’s race and Julie Dibens of Great Britain won the women’s race of the second annual Abu Dhabi International Triathlon on Saturday.

Bockel broke off the front of the field at the 2008 Beijing Olympic triathlon, and he might try the same tactic this weekend aboard this Blue Triad SP.
