Bob Seebohar joins Bob Babbitt on Competitor Radio to talk sports nutrition. Seebohar is the author of “Metabolic Efficiency Training” and was the sport dietitian for the 2008 US Olympic Triathlon team. His feeling is that the reason endurance athletes have GI issues on race day is because a lot of them are taking in twice as many calories per hour-he feels that 80 per hour is sufficient- than they need. If you are gearing up for a marathon, an ultra, a triathlon or a long bike ride, this conversation is for you.
