Gear editor and former pro triathlete Chris Foster travels to Catalina Island, California, to get an exclusive sneak preview of the Otillo Catalina swimrun course. While checking out the brutal 40k route that includes roughly 20 miles of running, 4 miles of swimming, and 4,000 feet of climbing, Foster put the new Roka Maverick Swimrun through the paces. Available now for $500, the swimrun-specific wetsuit is Roka’s first offering in the growing multisport offshoot.
Check out the video to hear Foster’s thoughts on the new Roka Maverick swimrun wetsuit alongside stunning footage of the Otillo Catalina Swimrun course, the European brand’s first World Championship Series event on U.S. soil that will be held at the end of February in 2020.
