The Draw: Budget Sleekness

For an affordable, streamlined feel in a wetsuit-illegal race, ladies should check out the PZ2TX. Grab a friend to help you zip up, but like many other suits in this review, this suit uses an auto-locking zipper, so tearing the thing off is easy. Sleeveless swimskins have the same challenge as sleeveless wetsuits, in that they have to ensure no water leaks through the arms without being uncomfortably tight. Women with larger lats—or who choose a smaller size for a super-streamlined fit—may feel a bit of a pinch in that area. The hydrophobic fabric visibly made water drip right off it when we got out and gave us a quick feel in the water.
