These Altra Kayenta running shoes are fairly light, and drain well so they won’t feel like bricks after dumping water on your head. Note: These are for road races only; the tread’s not suited for trails. We’d wear them for up to half-Iron distance, though you could run a whole marathon together if you have exceptional form.
Gait-wise, they’re generally best suited to runners who strike on their mid- to forefoot. (Although in all fairness, it’s hard to not run like that in zero drop shoes like these.) And given the super-softness of the upper, and the gentle softness of the midsole, don’t expect them to last forever. But the extreme durability-for-tri-comfort tradeoff is one we’d happily make with these Altra Kayenta running shoes.
