Technogym MyCycling

The Draw: Overbuilt

With the highest price tag in the category, Technogym’s MyCycling direct-drive trainer certainly impresses with its list of features, like a huge 2,100W, 20-percent grade ceiling, an included 11-speed cassette, a built-on optical cadence sensor (with excellent accuracy), and a claimed 1-percent power accuracy transmitted over Bluetooth or ANT+ FE-C. The other big win for the Italian fitness brand’s offering is simulated dual-leg balance reading, letting riders know (via Technogym’s app) if they’re pushing too much with one leg over the other. Note: It’s not as quiet as other models tested, and while Technogym’s own app worked very well, it felt limited due to its basic workouts and small “route” selection.
