Stages Power L

The Draw: Perfect power introduction

While you won’t find a ton of fancy info in the single-sided version of the Stages power meter, this is one of the most low-impact ways to get into basic—but still reasonably accurate and repeatable—training with power. Setup is among the easiest of the bunch with no magnets, changing chainrings or shifting, or wheels. Simply switch out the non drive-side crank arm, that arm’s pedal, sync up with a computer, calibrate, and go. Bear in mind this setup only measures the left leg’s power and multiplies it, but for anyone except the most lopsided pedaler, this is good enough to get through workouts and racing.
