The Draw: Climber’s Delight

The Reynolds Attack wheelset has gotten a facelift, and the latest version is as good as it has ever been. The newest Attack is a shallow- depth, tubeless-ready wheelset with a 17mm inner rim width. This wheel is tailor-made for a lightweight rider riding a hilly course and looking to shed some weight from their bike. On our test rides, we found that these wheels accelerate very well and handle as expected. When wet, the brakes take a moment to bite, but once they do, they stop well. Out of all the wheels tested, this was the only set that was a struggle to mount tires on. We did love Reynolds’ commitment to their product via their lifetime warranty.

29mm rim depth; $1,500; clincher; 1,365g
