For the second year in a row, American Andy Potts raced to a fourth-place finish at the Ironman World Championship. The consistent top performer says he felt like he “checked every box” in his preparation and tried a few new approaches this year to be a contender. With a lead pack 50:52 swim, 4:32 bike and 2:53 marathon, Potts earned his way into the top five.
