Down-to-the-wire finishes are commonplace in short-course racing, but they’re a rare site when it comes to Ironmans. After 140.6 miles of swimming, biking and running, three athletes—Kirill Kotsegarov (EST), Matt Chrabot (USA) and Stefan Schmid (GER)—came to the finish chute at the same time and ultimately crossed within 8 seconds of each other. Watch the video from the Chattanooga Times Free Press above and read the race recap here.
