TriRock Austin Set For Labor Day Monday

The second TriRock Austin presented by REI is set for this Monday in the heart of Austin, Texas.

The second TriRock Austin presented by REI, formerly known as the Austin Triathlon, is set for this Monday in the heart of Austin, Texas. The race showcases the urban setting of downtown, starting with a swim in Lady Bird Lake, a closed bike course that goes over the Congress Street Bridge and a run along the Auditorium Shores running path. The race will feature two distances: a sprint (700-meter swim, 16.7-mile bike and 3.1-mile run) and Olympic (1500-meter swim, 24.8-mile bike, 6.2-mile run). The city of Austin is known as an active and cycling-friendly community, and it’s a popular training base for pro triathletes, such as Michael and Amanda Lovato, Kelly Williamson, and Brandon and Amy Marsh.
