Sanders, Snow Run Away With 70.3 Steelhead Victories

Canada’s Lionel Sanders and the United States Caitlin Snow dominated the run legs at Sunday’s Ironman 70.3 Steelhead triathlon to earn the wins.

Sanders put together a 29:42 swim, a 2:00:41 bike and a 1:12:36 half marathon to earn the 3:46:13 victory. It was nearly 10 minutes later that Igor Amorelli (BRA) finished second. Argentina’s Mario De Elias rounded out the top three.

Snow earned a convincing win at 4:18:17 in the women’s race thanks to a 28:39 swim, 2:25:30 bike and a 1:20:25 run. Ashley Clifford (USA) and Jeanni Seymour (RSA) rounded out the podium.
