British racing star Jenson Button has a big goal for 2017: qualify for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn. He did it at Ironman 70.3 Oceanside on April 1 when he crossed the finish line third in his age group–despite some nutty mechanical issues that forced him to walk his bike up the hills. Check out the post-race interview we caught just before he got the sad but kind-of-funny news that he got DQed for speeding on a hairy downhill that has an enforced 25 mph limit to keep riders from crashing out. (No, it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke.)

Button wrote about his experience on social media, though he’s riding so slow in this video, it’s hard to imagine he got DQed for speed.
