American Renee Tomlin made it clear why she saved some energy on Saturday’s semi-final right at the beginning of the final when she was first out of the water after the 750m swim. She then led a small group that went all together on the bike course. From there, Tomlin kept her first position from T2 to the finish line, earning the victory at 1:00:02.
