Kanute Outsprints Bozzone for Island House Title

The men’s race at the 2017 Island House Invitational concluded in dramatic fashion, with American Ben Kanute out-sprinting New Zealander Terenzo Bozzone to claim the overall victory and take home his share of $500,000. The two were separated by just 11 seconds on the overall leaderboard as they began the third and final stage, a sprint distance triathlon. Kanute maintained a small lead through the swim and bike, but Bozzone caught him on the 5K run—making for an exciting finish.
