Belgium’s Timothy Van Houtem and Great Britain’s Laura Siddall claimed the victories on a tough, hot day of racing at the 2018 Challenge Madrid triathlon.

Van Houtem crossed the finish line at 9:00:13. Spain’s Pablo Dapena Gonzalez and Carlos Aznar Gallego earned the final podium spots at 9:23:01 and 9:26:29, respectively.

Siddall earned the victory in 9:54:33, with France’s Alexandra Toundeur finishing a close second at 9:56:44. American Lisa Roberts finished third at 10:07:16.
