On Sunday athletes raced in the 2016 Columbia Threadneedle Investments Boston Triathlon—known for being Boston’s only triathlon. Competing in either the sprint- or Olympic-distance races, athletes swam in the fresh waters of Dorchester Bay, cycled through the Boston city streets and then ran along the scenic Southie shoreline. Lucas Pozzetta and Angela Naeth earned the Olympic-distance victories, while Jonathan Ingalls and Darby Middlebrook were first to cross the finish line in the sprint races.
