Germany’s Jan Frodeno earned the first Ironman 70.3 World Championship of his career by outpacing a field that included several former world champions at the distance. Germany’s Sebastian Kienle – a two-time winner at this race and the reigning Ironman world champion – was second, with Spain’s Javier Gomez – the 2014 winner – rounding out the podium. Recap the race.
