Three-time Ironman world champion Mirinda Carfrae is set to race Sunday’s Ironman Asia-Pacific Championships in Melbourne. She’s coming off of a good training block, but says that this race is about getting Kona qualification taken care of. (As a recent Kona winner, she simply needs to cross the finish line on Sunday to punch her ticket to Hawaii.) Carfrae chats about her decision to return to Melbourne, how this race fits into her season and what it would mean to win an Ironman on home soil.
